Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Seethakka, has assured Fixed Tenure Employees (FTEs) that their long-pending service-related issues will be addressed within the next seven days. The assurance came during a meeting with representatives of the FTE Joint Action Committee (JAC) at BRK Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday.

During the meeting, FTE JAC representatives raised key demands, including implementation of a pay scale, finalisation of cadre strength, transfer policy, and other service-related matters. The representatives informed the minister that around 3,800 FTE employees are currently working across the state.

Responding to the concerns, Seethakka said the Telangana government is taking a positive approach toward resolving the employees’ issues. She stated that the government would work to address the pending demands within seven days and would also place the pay scale proposal before Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for consideration.

The minister said she had contacted the Chief Minister’s Office during the meeting to seek time for a detailed discussion on the FTE employees’ demands. She added that another meeting with employee representatives would be held soon to review the progress and discuss the next course of action.

Seethakka also urged employees not to resort to hasty protests, saying the government is committed to finding a solution through discussions. She reiterated that the administration is sympathetic to the concerns of FTE employees and is making efforts to resolve them at the earliest.

The minister further announced that the Accidental Insurance Scheme has been extended to FTE employees. She said the meeting was convened to directly understand the issues faced by employees and ensure that appropriate steps are taken for their welfare.

FTE JAC leaders welcomed the minister’s assurance and expressed hope that the government’s commitments would translate into early action. The meeting was attended by JAC representatives including Lingampalli Narsaiah, Srinivas, Elabadri Lingaiah, A. Anji Reddy, M. Vijay Kumar, E. Venkata Rama Reddy, and M. Mohan Rao.
