Korutla, March,17,2026: Korutla husband kills pregnant wife in a shocking incident reported from Jagityal district in Telangana on Tuesday morning. A 19-year-old woman who was four months pregnant was allegedly attacked with a knife by her husband at their residence.
The incident took place in Madapur village under Korutla mandal. Police said the accused fled the scene after the attack and an investigation has been launched.
According to preliminary information from the police, the accused has been identified as Chittari Haribabu, a resident of Korutla. He married Vaishnavi, 19, from Madapur village around eight months ago in a love marriage.
After their marriage, the couple had been living in Madapur village. Haribabu was working as a contract worker at a government hospital in Korutla.
Vaishnavi was active on social media and used to create short reels while also running a YouTube channel.
Police said the couple had been facing frequent disputes in recent days. Early on Tuesday morning around 4 am, Haribabu allegedly attacked Vaishnavi with a knife during one such argument.
After carrying out the attack, the accused reportedly fled from the house.
Later in the morning, family members found Vaishnavi lying in a pool of blood inside the house. They immediately informed the police about the incident.
Police officials reached the spot soon after receiving the information and examined the scene. A case has been registered and further investigation is currently underway.
The tragic incident has shocked residents of Madapur village in Jagityal district.
Authorities are continuing efforts to trace the accused and gather more details related to the case.
